1841 TWOPENCE BLUE A remarkable study of the two plates, neatly written-up on album pages with fulsome detail relating to the various positional re-entries and varieties (repairs, states, plate 4 BH ´spectacles´ variety, etc.), comprising singles (117), pairs (43), strips of three (14), four (4), five (4), six and seven, mostly with Maltese Cross (some distinctive types) or numeral cancellations struck in black but many fine and interesting variations including some struck in blue, pairs cancelled by single strikes of the ´1844´ type numeral, etc., other items of note with inverted watermarks, wide variety of shades including the ´violet-blue´, copious notes relating to Osborne´s work and original research added by the vendor.
