FD, small to good margins, on neat uncreased envelope from Ireland to Guildford, tied by superb strike of the orange-brown Maltese Cross, the reverse with very fine strike of the black ”ln. green” of Lurgangreen, dated 3 July 1840 (very ealy use of this plate, first recorded date oif use being 17 June); a few minor perimeter imperfections and adhesive with trace of vertical crease though not detracting from the wonderful appearance.
