PLATE V BD, State 2 (first 1840 repairs), a very fresh unused example in greyish black with definite signs of plate wear; fine and extremely attractive, also an example of the same State 2 first repair though used on fine mourning entire from London to Watford dated 10 April 1841, tied by fine light strike of the black Maltese Cross, the address panel with light “T.P/Hampton Court”, beautifully mounted and written-up on album page.
