A Mahogany stamp dispenser by J C Cox (405x215x440mms), brass coin slot at top with glass mounted in the locking door showing the coin slot movement, with a white enamelled plaque reading "by her majesty's royal letter patents fitted with patent return check bell jc cox inventor, patentee &manufacturer, 174 queen victoria street. london e.c.", having a brass handle on the front which rings when moved from side to side and the coins drop into a locking drawer in the base, the stamps stored on a rack at the left with wooden backing, also having a wooden bowl set into the top of the base; a fine and unusual piece.
