Bahmani Sultanate, Muhammad Shah III (1463-82), AE Gani (2), two-thirds Gani (2), third Gani; Mahmud Shah (1482-1518), Gani (5), two-thirds Gani (3), 1/2-Gani, sixth Gani (2) (G&G. BH.117, 115 (2), 114 (2), 123 (2), 124 (2), 126A, 131, 136, 148 (2), 151, 152), generally fine to very fine, one of the Ganis and a sixth Gani of Mahmud are new, unpublished, varieties (16) The new varieties of Gani and sixth Gani, illustrated above, have different arrangements of legend to those previously recorded. The Gani has been given the G&G. number BH126A, as the words 'Mahmud' and 'Muhammad' are transposed on the reverse. The sixth Gani has the legend "Mahmud Shah bin Muhammad Shah" but, unlike G&G. BH.151, the words 'Shah' and 'bin' are below 'Mahmud' on the obverse. Therefore it has been given the G&G. number BH.152.
