Golightly 2/60 Foot); India General Service 1854-95, two clasps, Burma 1885-7, Burma 1887-89 (Captain R.E. Golightly 4th Bn. K.R.Rif.C.); Queen's South Africa, four clasps, Cape Colony, Transvaal, Wittebergen, South Africa 1901 (Capt. R.E. Golightly D.S.O. 1/Impl. (1856-1935), born at Shipton Moyne, Tetbury; educated at Eton and Sandhurst; Sub-Lieutenant, King's Royal Rifles 1876; he served with his regiment in the Afghan War, 1878-80, was present at the action of Takt-i-Pul, and advance and occupation of Kandahar and Khelat-i-Ghilzie; marched from Kabul to Kandahar with Sir Donald Stewart's force; present at the action of Urzoo (Despatches), marched from Kandahar to Kabul with Sir F.
