A Plate from the Royal Doulton Aviation Series A china plate, 101/2 in. diameter, bearing maker's stamp and painted serial number (?)3205 under glaze, depicting an early monoplane (possibly an Antoinette), and biplane, and three balloons in flight above what appears to be Doncaster Racecourse Estimate £ 150-200 Royal Doulton produced a set of china showing aviation scenes circa 1911. The Doncaster Aviation Meeting was held in 1909. Unfortunately the dates chosen clashed with those of the Blackpool meeting, and not all the airmen billed to appear actually turned up.
