Naval General Service 1793-1840, two clasps, 14 March 1795, Egypt (Thos Terry.), good very fine Estimate £ 1,400-1,800 Thomas Terry served as Private, Royal Marines, at the defeat of the French Fleet off Genoa, 14 March 1795, and as Carpenter, H.M.S. Ajax during operations on and off the coast of Egypt 1801. Each of Terry's clasps are confirmed on the Hailes' (1910) transcription of the Official Admiralty Clasp Application Lists, but similar to a number of multiple clasp awards Terry's two clasp medal has not been listed as such in the published rolls but as two separate medals.
