A Victorian Militia Officer's Coatee A good scarlet coatee, with pale buff facings and silver lace loops, evenly-spaced buttons (pattern as for an Officer on the Unattached List but in silver-plate), bugle-horn skirt-ornaments in silver embroidery on scarlet cloth, the shoulder-seams with stitched holes at front and rear for attachment of Light Infantry wings, the coat now fitted with boxed epaulettes with plain vellum lace straps (one epaulette lacking its metal crescent) Estimate £ 300-400
