Pair: Captain H.C.G. Dugdale, Rifle Brigade Indian Mutiny, one clasp, Lucknow (Lieut 2nd Bn Rifle Bde), suspension loose; Ashantee 1873-74, one clasp, Coomassie (Capt. 2nd Bn. Rifle Bde 1873-4), some spots of corrosion on the Mutiny Medal, minor edge bruising and contact marks therefore very fine (2) Estimate £ 800-1,200 Captain Henry Dugdale entered the army in 1885: rose to Colonel 1888; during the Indian Mutiny he was present at the actions at Cawnpore, the Capture of Lucknow, and in numerous engagements during the Oude campaign; served throughout the second phase of the Ashanti War 1874, including the battle of Amoaful; commanded a detachment at the Defence of Quarman, and was present at the battle of Ordahsu and the Capture of Coomassie.
