Fus.); Coronation 1937; Army Long Service and G.C., G.VI.R., 1st 'Indiae Imp' type, with 'Regular Army' suspension (4184570 Fsr.W. Taylor. R.W.Fus.), the Great War awards worn, Coronation medal good fine, the L.S.G.C. good very fine, mounted as originally worn, with the following original documents --Ordnance College, Woolwich, Certificate of Proficiency (Bicycles) dated 4.11.1915 --Printed letter of congratulations from General Rawlinson, Headquarters Fourth Army, dated 18.2.1918 --Certificate of Demobilization, dated 22.2.1919 --Regular Army Service Book, recording service from 20.12.1922 to 18.10.1938 --Enclosure document for Coronation Medal 1937 (5) Estimate £ 200-250 M.M. (Hyde) Private William Taylor M.M. born 1896; joined the Northumberland Fusiliers 2.10.1915; transferred to the Army Cyclist Corps and served with the 3/1 Welsh Division Cyclist Battalion; discharge certificate states he served overseas and was taken prisoner of war; re-enlisted 20.12.1922 and served with the Royal Welsh Fusiliers in Germany, Gibraltar and China; Private Taylor was discharged at his own request in 1938 after a total of 19 years service.
