Malta, Fra Emmanuel Pinto, 15 Tari, 1769, arms, rev. St. John standing (RS.118), now scyphate, set into the base of the bowl of a cigar holder (?), the bowl 41 mm. across, 16 mm. deep, the semi-circular stem 56 mm. long, this raised on two small angled legs with round feet; hall-marks on the underside of the stem, some unclear, but including the Maltese cross and michael borg, a well-known family of Maltese silversmiths, perhaps early 20th century, the coin about fine, generally in good order, an interesting piece Estimate £ 200-300
