Symonds), nearly extremely fine (9) Estimate £ 180-220 William Hubert Turner served in the Merchant Navy during the Second War as Third Mate in S.S. Cape St. Andrew. He was killed in action when his ship was torpedoed 75 miles off the coast of Ireland 13.11.1940. He is commemorated on Panel 23 of the Tower Hill Memorial.
