Malaysia, Hajj & Islamic-style magic tokens (6), with Islamic inscriptions and depictions of Islamic and secular subjects, struck post 1950, (Cribb c.f.260, 261b, 289a, 314, -(2)), some weakly struck, mostly extremely fine (6) Estimate £ 200-240 These tokens depict Islamic prophets, animals etc. Their inscriptions name the images or invoke the protection of Allah, through professions of faith or quotes from the Qur'an. The designs appear to give protection from evil.
