†Sultans of Bengal, Nasir al-din "Shahim" (c.1432/3), silver Tanka, 10.79g., AH(83)7, ruler's titles in tughra style, rev. nasir al-islam wa'l muslimin within scolloped border (G&G. B.400), crude strike with test cuts on reverse, otherwise very fine, exceedingly rare Estimate £ 650-850 provenance: ex. John Deyell collection. One of only five specimens known. The reading of the ruler's name is debatable due to the poor striking of the legends on these coins.
