Great Britain 1840 One Penny Black Plate 7 LB, margins all round, on entire letter to York dated 1840 (21 Nov.), tied by fine strike of the red Maltese Cross (leaving the profile almost clear) and showing framed “Pudsey/Penny Post” in blue-green directly below; two clean vertical folds (one crosses the strikes but is clear of adhesive), fine and most attractive.
