Great Britain 1840 One Penny Black Plate 6 CJ, small to very large margins (showing portions of two adjoining stamps), on entire letter from Bradninch to Sherborne, tied by fine strike of the black Maltese Cross (showing small part additional strike adjacent), address panel showing fine strike of the black Cullompton double-arc datestamp of 4 March 1841 at left, the reverse with superb strike of the very rare circular undated “branninch” with seriffed type (these handstamps using seriffed type are known from very few offices, all of them rare); address panel with ink mark at right but otherwise fine and not detracting from the very fine appearance.
