Great Britain 1841 One Penny Red-Brown Plate 20, AJ, clear to large margins, on entire letter from Kelvin Foundry to the Glasgow, Paisley, Kilmarnock & Ayr Railway at Irvine dated 27 June 1842, tied by light strike of the brownish black water-ink Maltese Cross of Glasgow, the reverse with framed Glasgow "No. 21" district office handstamp in the same ink; adhesive with small defect at right though not detracting, rare and most attractive.
