St Maarten, cut “quarter” (actually between a 5th and a 6th ) of a Spanish-American Dollar, 4.68g., countermarked St MARTIN in an indent and a bundle of arrows (Pr. fig 37), rather a strange, shallow cut, but apparently genuine, coin fine, countermark very fine Estimate £ 200-250 The coin was not trimmed after being countermarked, but was a light weight segment before the countermarks were applied.
