American Austin Car Co., Inc. Pair of Certificates. 10 Shares, May 14, 1930. Orange borders, punch cancelled; and 100 Shares, March 26, 1931. Olive-green borders. Allegorical figure turning a great wheel. Founded in Butler, PA in 1929 in order to assemble an American version of the British Austin, the company saw some initial success, but the Great Depression set in and production was suspended. The company filed for bankruptcy in 1934. American Austin produced about 20,000 cars. Extremely Fine. [2]
