Ferdinand I of Bulgaria, Prince 1887-1908; Tsar 1908 until his abdication in 1918. Handwritten Letter Signed: "Ferdinand R" (as Prince). One page, neatly written by his secretary, Palace of Sophia, 14 June 1908. Ferdinand sends his best wishes and sincere friendship to Prince Victor Napoleon, chief of the House of Bonaparte and pretender to the French throne (from 1879 to his death in 1926) and thanks him for his kind visit. Ferdinand confirms the Grand Order of St. Alexander upon Victor Napoleon and says he would be happy to personally present it in memory of his visit to Sophia. Ferdinand signs below in his own hand.
