Netherlands. Diana and Actaeon. Rectangular plaquette. Bronze, 128 x 97mm, 1610. Diana bathing in a spring with the help of her escort of nymphs, the young hunter Actaeon unwittingly espies them from behind a tree at the right. Cf.Weber 974 (lead example in the Museo Nazionale del Bargello, Florence; iron example Augsburg Museum). This is apparently the only reported example in bronze. An Extremely Fine later cast.
