ALFONSO RUSPAGIARI DE REGGIO EMILIA (1521-1576)
Two Unknown Ladies. Medal. Bronze, 62mm. Bust seen partly from behind, head left, wearing a veil which falls behind and joins drapery, leaving shoulder bare, rev. Bust left wearing a thin bodice, the sleeves of the dress held up by a loose band over the shoulders. Norris/Weber Molinari 63. No other recorded specimens. Both of these women appear on separate uniface medals (See lot XXXX). An Extremely fine old cast.
