The Triumph of Silenus. Rectangular plaquette. Bronze, 123 x 63mm. Silenus borne right by four children, a youthful faun preceding them carrying a cornucopia and playing pan pipes, other children behind Silenus, one carrying a vase, another seated on the ground playing a double flute. Collector's number in red on back. Kress 230. A Very Fine old after-cast from the side of a sandbox. Ex J Elsen, November 12, 2010, lot 1228.
