Tibet. Szechuan-Tibet Trade Coinage. Rupee, nd (1902-1911). Chengdu mint. Small portrait, with no collar, of the Chinese emperor Kuang-hsu styled after the British Indian Rupee of Victoria, rev. Horizontal rosette at center; si chuan sheng zao ("made in Szechuan), wreath of branches with cusps and flowers (also derived from the British Indian Rupee). L&M 358, Y.3.1. Once wiped, now toned light gray over some contact marks. Extremely Fine.
