VIRTUTE INGENITA FORTIS DUCTUQUE PARENTIS •, an eagle trains her young one to fly towards the Meridian sun from a rocky summit, ships at sea beyond, SIC ITUR AD ASTRA. in exergue, edge plain, 41mm, 30.56g, 12h (Eimer 516; MI ii 489/29), slight die flaw to obverse edge at 8 o'clock, nevertheless attractively struck and toned, with highly lustrous surfaces, extremely fine, rare in this metal
