REX. third laureate, draped and cuirassed bust left, value behind, rev. crowned square-topped shield over cross fleury, 8.97g, 7h, m.m. thistle (Schneider II, 84; North 2113; Spink 2638A), some metal flawing before face, otherwise somewhat bright and residually lustrous, excluding peripheries a handsomely uniform but deceptively soft striking, very fine, scarcely found so presentable
