George II (1727-1760), Shilling, 1741 over 39, larger lettering, young laureate, draped and cuirassed bust left, ties to T, rev. crowned shields cruciform, seven strings to harp, roses in angles, edge obliquely milled, 6.01g, 6h (Spink 3701; ESC 1718 [1202A] [R5]), a die break through Hanoverian shield, otherwise darkly toned with an even uniform strike, a trace of mint lustre in recesses, otherwise a really pleasingly good very fine, rare, in NGC 'Francis' holder, graded AU55 (Cert. #5878643-020)
