Roman Imperial. Licinius I with Licinius II, Caesar (308-324). Pair of Folles, struck 320-321. Antioch, 7th Officina. Half-length, laureate busts of Licinius I and II, wearing consular robes, facing each other, holding trophy between them, rev. Jupiter standing facing, head left, trophy flanked by two bound captives before him, SMATZ in ex. Bastien, "Coins with a Double Effigy Issued by Licinius at Nicomedia, Cyzicus and Antioch" (Numismatic Chronicle 1973), p. 91, 5. Very rare, Bastien cites only one specimen for officina Z. One heavy patina, smoothing over roughness; the other some roughness. Fine. (2)
