Seleukid Kings of Syria. Demetrios I Soter with Laodike IV (162-150 BC). AR Tetradrachm. Seleukeia on the Tigris. 16.01 gms. Their jugate busts right, Demetrios, diademed; Laodike draped and wearing stephane, rev. Tyche enthroned left, holding scepter and cornucopiae, pH monogram and palm frond outer left. SC 1689.1, HGC 9, 800. Very rare. Scrape top of Laodike's head, reverse off center, a few small dark areas. About Very Fine.
