Iran. Pahlavi. Bank Markazi Iran. Pair of Proving Specimen 1000 Rials. SH 1341 (1963), ND (1964). P-75ps, 83ps. Both with same serial number: 1/345678. Brown; Reddish-brown on rose-red and violet-blue. Type VI portrait of the Shah at center; Tomb of Hafez in Shiraz at back. The first with ink and single pencil annotations in margins - "1.5 63", "approved", "Not Latest Proof For Date Sigs", and printed "2nd PROVING C". The latter with ink and pencil annotations "Approved", "As Sub 1.4.64". Both with single punch cancel, and light paperclip bruise at edge. AU. [2]
