Great Britain. Pair of Cameron Highlanders Feather Bonnets. Dyed ostrich feathers, red, white and black checkered brim, narrow patent leather chin strap. One bonnet by Thos. Gordon & Son, Glasgow -- name "McDuff" inked on tag, and other name inked on sweatband. Tan leather sweat band and red lining. White plume. The other by Wm. Anderson & Sons, Edinburgh & Glasgow Ltd. White cloth sweat band and white lining. No plume, black cockade on brim band. Some crackling of chin strap. Both nice examples. Ex Hammatt Collection. (2)
