Great Britain. 53rd (The King's Shropshire Light Infantry) Regiment Officer's 1828-Pattern Shako. Victorian era. Felt body, patent leather peak. Helmet plate with regimental badge. Two floral bosses suspend gilt, velvet-backed chin scales, green pompom atop helmet. Partially restored with later additions. Patent leather shows only minor wear, the gilt typical aging. Ex Hammatt Collection.
