The purpose of this company was to find treasure in the harbor of Vigo, Spain, where an Anglo-Dutch naval force had attacked ships from the Spanish Treasure fleet bottled up in the harbor. In the ensuing attack several treasure ships foundered, and became a very alluring target for numerous treasure hunting expeditions. VF+.
