(1877-1962). Swiss poet, novelist, and painter. Born in Germany. His best-known works include "Siddhartha", "Steppenwolf" and "The Glass Bead Game". Nobel Prize winner. Printed pamphlet in German signed on the inside cover "H. Hesse." Also included is a holographic transmittal envelope. Both ca. 1956.
