Quiller-Couch, Arthur (1863-1944). Best remembered for his "Oxford Book of English Verse 1250-1900." ALS, 3 1/2 pages, 8vo. The Haven, Fowey, Cornwall. April 15, 1898. To Mr. Sandercock, the painter.

"Is it necessary to tell you that your name and fame are still highly remembered around here?...My father often talked about you & a picture (of a donkey in a pound!)…" Henry Ardmore Sandercock was a marine and landscape painter who worked at Bideford. Light fold stains and minor soiling.
