On the front, in the wide top margin, "1902-1908," numerous BEP plate engraver's initials, and a registration mark are printed; at the bottom, similar initials and a registration mark appear. On the back, in the wide top margin "1902, " and "2313" are present along with a registration mark; in the bottom margin "J. H. R. M. B.," "J. T. W. M. S. S. L.," and a registration mark appear.
The overall appearance of the sheet is fresh and bright, as if it were new. On closer inspection there are folds between each note, in the gutters; the top note has two pinholes in the top margin, a light diagonal fold, and some corner bends; and the bottom note has a light diagonal wrinkle near the center. Both the top and bottom margins are lightly creased, and the gutter folds have some wrinkles.
Livingston Manor (Sullivan County) is a tiny hamlet with a population of about 1,200 people. It is known as "The Gateway to the Catskills" and "The Birthplace of Fly Fishing." A total of four large size notes are reported on this bank - a $5 described by Lynn Knight as "Poor" brought $718.75 in November 2012; another $5 in VF which brought $4,600 in a Heritage Sale in 2004; an EF $10 sold for $1,870 in 2000 by CAA; and a $20 in About Good which also appears in the census. This is the only Large Size sheet known on the bank.
