Crittenden Land and Cattle Co. (AZ), $10 shares, Tucson 18[87], #19, head of bull in underprint, green and brown, EF.

Several ranches were established along Sonoita Creek in Arizona. Rollin Rice Richardson purchased some land in the early 1880's which included the Crittenden Military reservation, gradually expaning his holding over the next few years. He renamed his ranch the Crittenden and was by 1890 running some 12,000 head of cattle. The drought of 1893 severely hit his oparations and reduced his herd to only 4,000. Sold out to the Empire Ranch in 1901.
