Despite its grand title the initial operations of this company were mostly confined to Florida running its initial service in 1934 between St.Petersburg and Daytona Beach, later connecting to Jacksonville and then New Orleans. Expansion continued with the opening of a route from Miami to New York in direct competition to Eastern Airlines in 1944. Continued in service well into the 1960's.
