Collection of Civil War Era Artifacts. 1) 2" tall cylindrical salt glazed stoneware ink pot. Very Fine with slightly mottled glaze and some minor imperfections on the top of the piece. 2) Pair of ebony and bone dominoes with single metal fastener, measuring about 1"x2"x3/8". One Extremely Fine, one Fine, with slightly raised and twisted bone panel and a light stain. 3) Green glass wine bottle from Confederate Vicksburg. Blown glass, with some bubbles and a slightly uneven base. Some sediment on interior of bottle. About 9.5" in height. Very Fine. 4) Extremely Fine Jew's Harp from Confederate Fredricksburg, rarely found in such good condition. "ENGLAND" imprinted on underside of the ends of the frame. Light diagonal ribbing on central "tongue," which is 4" long. 5) Three pieces of Colonial pipe stem found in Essex County, VA. 6) A collection of seven marbles predating the Civil War, discovered in 1995 on the site of a former Atlanta marble factory in operation from 1820-1837. No two alike, these unique, handmade items are made of solid marble with a porcelain coat, covered in clay and painted. Particularly rare are the green and cobalt blue marbles. 6) Civil War canteen in Poor condition. Said to be of a Confederate soldier, found in Fort Donelson. 7) Group of eight colored vegetable ivory buttons. 8) A dozen wooden matchsticks. 9) Medicine vial found in Confederate trench in Spanish Fort, Alabama. 10) Watch key from Dare, Virginia. .
