Clear, uncanceled signature of Buick as President. David Dunbar Buick (1854-1929) was a Scottish-American who began his business career by developing a process to affix porcelain to bath tubs. His interest in automobiles resulted in the organization of the Buick Manufacturing Company in 1902. It was later merged into General Motors. Buick did not survive the relationship with General Motors and he died in relative obscurity.
