.Hudson & Bershire RR (NY) 1848. $1,000. No.60. Ornate border. Signed by Millard Fillmore as Comptroller. IC. VF+, with some mounting remnants at the top. A handsome example, and the future President´s signature is lightly affected by four small punch cancels.

Millard Fillmore served as Vice President under Zachary Taylor from 1849-1850, and became President after Taylor´s death. He ran for re-election in 1852 and 1856 but did not win.
