United States Loan Office (CT) 1793. $331.30. No. 7. Heraldic eagle in oval frame. Signed by William Imlay as Commissioner. IC. Minor foxing near the top, otherwise VF. After the Revolutionary War an agreement was reached by the states to assume portions of the Revolutionary War debt. In return, the northern states agreed to move the Capital of the United States to a southern location. One of the earliest examples of US scripophily, and probably very undervalued in today´s market.
