1855-C Gold DollarType II. PCGS AU50. Traces of original mint luster are still present. A scarce and popular date as it is the only Type II "C" mint in the entire series. 9,803 pieces were struck , many from clashed dies, and the present example is no exception. The "8" in the date is characteristically weak.
