Custer, George Armstrong. Six additional envelopes addressed to Miss Libbie Bacon and mailed between November 1863 and January 1864. Custer married Libbie February 9, 1864, so we can well imagine what the contents of the letters that travelled in these envelopes were like. All with "Miss Libbie Bacon / Monroe / Michigan" written in ink on the front of the envelopes, all in Custer´s distinctive hand. One in fairly decent condition, but several have some impairment. Sold as is. [6]
