Custer, George Armstrong. Four envelopes addressed to Miss Libbie Bacon and mailed between December 1863 and January 1864. Since Custer married Elizabeth Clift Bacon on February 9, 1864, we can well imagine what the contents of the letters that travelled in these envelopes were like. All with "Miss Libbie Bacon / Monroe / Michigan" written in ink on the front of the envelopes, all in Custer´s distinctive hand. All in excellent condition. [4]
