England. ND (1619-1625) 1/2 Laurel, James I. XF Details, Ex-Jewelry. S-2640 - Third Coinage. 4.46gms. Obv: Laureate bust facing left, X behind head. Rev: Crowned quartered shield. Nicely detailed in the centers with typical peripheral incompleteness. Close inspection reveals a well-disguised rim disturbance at 12 o´clock that suggests past mounting. Attractive still, and a more than acceptable example of this scarcely available type.
