American League Base Ball Club of New York Transfer Agreement between the Yankees and the Newark Exhibition Co, releasing John "Cy" Pieh to Newark for $500, March 30, 1916, signed by Jacob Ruppert as president of the Yankees, black and red with blue typewritten body, embossed seal, fold wear, about VF+. Cy Pieh (1886-1945) was a pitcher with the Yankees for two short years, and has the distinction of pitching in the game in which Babe Ruth (then of the Boston Red Sox) hit his first Major League home run.
