American Burlesque Association, Inc (NY), $100 shs, 1916, #36, signed by Gus Hill as president, American eagle with "e pluribus unum" banner, black orange, and green, fold wear including small internal tear, VF. Gus Hill (1848-1937) had started out as a juggler, but soon got into the business side of burlesque; his own shows tended to stress variety, and made a steady transition from burlesque to mainstream vaudeville; Eddie Cantor, Montgomery & Stone, and Weber & Fields all got their start playing for him.
