Pain´s Fireworks Co (NY), $100 shs, 1896, #62, signed by Henry Pain as president, issued to the Central Fireworks Co, bright explosion of fireworks set off from boat at left, flames in brazier at company name, black and brown, uncanceled, VF+. The original Pains, based in England, was most likely the company that sold explosives to Guy Fawkes (!) and is still in business today. A lovely example of a scarce type.
